AI Only Company

First AI-Driven Firm

Well, its finally arrived – the 1st AI driven firm that will provide legal services almost entirely through AI. It really was only a matter of time that we got to his point. There are many companies around the world using AI for back end services. Like performing daily tasks, running scoresheets and training employees. Mostly writing emails and documents where required, managing our diaries etc.

Are we going to see robots in court rooms?

Definitely not – Garfield.Law will as part of its services offer small and medium sized businesses the use of an AI powered litigation assistant for various tasks and process that are court related up to a certain point. As expected there will certain risks associated with various guardrails in place to the ball in the middle and compliant. It is important to note the 1st AI driven firm is not autonomous. It is using technology to streamline certain deliberate steps where appropriate that should generate benefits to both company and customers. Should we be worried – No we shouldn’t. I ask you to name one company that hasn’t taken steps to improve efficiency. Or one that doesn’t look to reduce overheads. Why should this be viewed as any different?

As Paul Philip, from the Solicitors Regulation Authority quotes-  ‘The first regulatory approval of an AI-based law firm is a landmark moment for legal services in this country.

‘With so many people and small businesses struggling to access legal services, we cannot afford to pull up the drawbridge on innovations that could have big public benefits. Responsible use of AI by law firms could improve legal services, while making them easier to access and more affordable.
